Unlike Dichondra argentea (Silver Falls), which has silvery-gray leaves, Emerald Falls features glossy, rich green leaves that form a dense, mat-like groundcover or spill over the edges of containers and hanging baskets.

It’s a fast-growing, low-growing perennial that is particularly popular for use in landscaping as a groundcover, in borders, or as a spiller in mixed containers. It thrives in full sun to part shade and does well in well-drained, moderately fertile soil. It’s also drought-tolerant once established and can handle light foot traffic, making it a great option for lawns or pathways.
