Correa Dusky Bells

Correa reflexa pulchella ‘Correa Dusky Bells’ is a compact, hardy native shrub known for its rich pink to dusky red tubular flowers and graceful form. A selected cultivar of Correa reflexa, it’s prized for its long flowering period and ability to attract nectar-feeding birds.

Typically growing to around 60 cm to 1 metre high and up to 1.5 metres wide, ‘Dusky Bells’ forms a low, dense mound of small, dark green foliage. From late autumn through to spring (and often beyond), it produces a profusion of pendent, bell-shaped flowers in shades of soft crimson-pink with greenish tips, creating a striking contrast against the foliage.

This correa is well suited to a variety of garden settings, thriving in full sun to part shade and adapting well to both coastal and inland conditions. It prefers well-drained soil, is drought-tolerant once established, and tolerates light frost. It benefits from an occasional light prune after flowering to maintain shape and promote dense growth.

Correa Dusky Bells is ideal for native gardens, understory planting, low borders, or wildlife-friendly designs where year-round interest and tough performance are needed.
