Popular, hardy dark green glossy leaved shrub or small tree. New growth is brighter lime green. Ideal for hedging and screening. Small, white, fragrant spring flowers are followed by black berries.
Portuguese laurel hedging has a medium-paced growth rate and will achieve approximately 40-60cm a year. The ideal height for a Portuguese laurel hedge is anything up to 5m.
